Phaluhm Airport

Phaluhm Airport (IATO: DSH - ICAO: RDDH) is the main international airport for Dauham Sammar Hazaham. It is Phaluhm Phoueck busiest airport, as it counts up to 95% of passangers landing or interchanging at Phaluhm Phoueck. It was once called Dauham Sammar Hazaham airport, but it was changed in 1992, to Phaluhm Airport to shorten the name. The airport opened in 1936, as a military base, and was transformed to a passanger airport in 1952. Phaluhm Airport then had a complete redesgin in 1969 and in 2013 when it was refurbished.

The airport is currently the main hub for Air Phaluhm, FlyPhoueck and Southeast Airlines. It also serves as a regional gateway and connecting point for various foreign carriers. The airport is located at South East Dauham Sammar Hazaham. It used to be a grassland area but with terraforming, the grassland was terraformed to meet runway standards. Terminal One  has an area 67,000 square metres (720,000 sq ft) and Terminal Two has an area of 189,000 square metres (2,030,000 sq ft). The passengers served was 9,784,980 as of 2014.

Terminal 1 is the only terminal of Phaluhm Airport. It can be accessed by taxis, Metro DSH, Gosal station and jeepneys. The Terminal is capable of handling 18 million passengers per year and is equipped with the following facilities:

  • 100 check-in counters for international flights
  • 80 baggage x-ray check-in machines and 60 hand luggage x-ray machines.
  • 60 immigration counters (30 for departures and 30 for arrivals)
  • 10 baggage carousels
  • 3 floors, ground: arrivals, first floor: airline offices, second floor: check-in counters and departures)
  • 20 aerobridges
  • 15 aircraft parking bays capable of accomodating wide and narrow body aircraft.

Ground Transportation[]

The airport is easy to get to. Take the Blue line at the Airport MetroDSH stop towards the city or take the train in nearby Gosal station for services to Kota Kambular, Wikas and Dauham. Jeepneys and private taxies also operate at Phaluhm Airport
