Kimbactu is an island of Greater Phaluhm, of which the north half is occupied by Phaluhm and the south occupied by the Chinese. The island is closed to members of the public without express approval, except for Kimbactu City, the capital, which is freely accessible. It has about 19,200 population on the Phaluhm side, plus a further 10,000 on the Chinese side.

Kimbactu is reachable only by ferry from Nuevert, as the airport was closed for public aviation. It is recommended to carry a notarised passport if travelling to this island.
